Venus-The Sun rises from the west.

We often use "Unless the Sun rises in the west…" to imply the impossibility because on the Earth, the Sun rises in the east. But please remember never use this phrase on Venus; on Venus, the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east. This phenomenon was caused by the different rotation direction of the Earth and Venus. Venus rotates from the east to the west and the Earth rotates in other direction.

Venus's diameter is 0.95 times of the Earth and two planets have the similar density and size. For centuries, Venus has been regarded as sister planet of the Earth. After more in-depth exploration and analysis, Venus was found as a total different surface environment.

There is Atmosphere on Venus's surface but 90% is composed by carbon dioxide. There is no ocean to disperse carbon dioxide on Venus and that causes the accumulation of carbon dioxide and strong Greenhouse Effect. Surface temperature of Venus reaches to 450°C so it is very hot. In addition, air pressure of Venus is 900 times of the Earth.

Venus is covered by heavy clouds consisting of sulfuric acid. 60% region of Venus is flat and it also has mountains, basins, and canyons similar with the Earth.

Rotating speed of Venus is quite slow. In equator, the rotating speed is only 1.8 kilometer/second and the Earth has the speed of 465 kilometer/second.

Thus, the intensity of magnetic field is only 1/100,000 of the Earth. It takes 243 earth days for Venus to rotate and its revolving period is 224.7 earth days. One day on Venus means two year on Earth and each year on Venus has two days.

Earth is only planet known to have living creatures. Among planets, it is the heaven of human beings. But human destroy the environment constantly and has no solution to greenhouse effect. The high temperature on Venus caused by greenhouse effect teaches us a lesson. We should do our best to protect our living environment.
