1990.4.7 The PRC first used its self-made launch vehicle to put its authorized satellite to the space
The PRC launched ASIASAT 1 by CZ-3 at Xichang to the space orbit. The success of this launch had caused the attention from all over the world. This was the first self-made rocket of the PRC sending to the space and successfully strode for the first step on commercial market.

ASIASAT 1 resulted in " telecommunication revolution" in Asian region. The 24 transmitter on the satellite can all be used for TV broadcasting, telephone or fax. It really shortens the distance among countries.
