1965.3.18 Leonov, the first astronaut walked on Space

USSR launched VOSKHOD 2 spacecraft and it carried two astronauts, LEONOV and BELYAYEV. It consisted of probes that dangled from the parachute lines. This enabled LEONOV to become the first man to have the space walk for ten minutes.

VOSKHOD 2 weighted 5682.00 kg and after 26-hour flight, it orbited the earth for 16 lapses. While returning to the earth, the main stage rocket failed to work. Therefore, the spacecraft needed to be lighted by hands for a backup solid propellant retrorocket package t. On Mach 19, 1965, VOSKHOD 2 landed in the forest and was surrounded by wolves all night long. It took a day to clean out woods and finally astronauts were saved by helicopters.
