Vincent's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: The most special place in my mind is the small park in my neighborhood.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: When I was young, my younger brother and I often went to the park to play with other kids after class. There were swings, monkey bars, seesaws and slides. We played with these funny stuffs, and we played many games such as hide and seek with friends. And after dinner, I often took a walk with my family members there. Sometimes we danced with folk songs, while sometimes we just walked around and chatted with our neighbors. It was fun and it killed many boring nights, especially when there was a blackout. By the way, my home is close to NSTM, where iSEE program will be hold. And after the completion of NSTM around 1997, I spent more time in NSTM than the small park because NSTM has a bigger place to walk and run. Nowadays, almost everyone living in my neighborhood go to NSTM to take a walk after dinner, rather than the small park, but I still have vivid memories with my childhood there.

Gloria's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: In my hometown, my special place is my uncle's farm.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: My uncle's farm locates behind of the Guan Yin Mountain. It is a place that full of a lot of memories when I was young. On weekend, my family and I often went to there and spent the whole time there. We set under the mango trees and chatted. The gentle wind blew over the farm and also juiced up our mind. Sometimes, my uncle invited our relatives to have barbecue or we simply cooked some delicious food over there. When adults were busying in preparing to cook, our children were running and playing through the farm. One of my favorite games was hide-and-seek because it was more difficult for the ghost to find others in such open place. We did a lot of activities over there. My uncle's farm became a place for gathering. As for me, this plays an important role in my heart. It means not only a place but represent my young age. It was a place to maintain my innocence. That's why it's a special place for me.

Hans' Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: In my hometown, the most special place in my mind is the ditches beside the rice fields.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: Imagine that you're a child having fun carelessly with other children in the race field on a sunny day. After a few hours of playing, you feel tired and sit beside the ditch next to the field to take a rest. Then you amazingly find that the ditch is not only what collects the water, but also a place in which fishes swim leisurely, gracefully?This was what I really did ten years ago, when I was only a child.; And the ditch is my special place in life. It was where I had fun with my friends catching fishes swimming beautifully in the clean water. It was where I enjoyed my happy childhood. It was what I can never forget!

Huang, Syun-yi's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: I consider that An-ping is the most special place in my mind.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: An-ping is a place of historic interest where is also a tourist attraction. When I studied in senior high school, there were always lots of exams to deal with, and I was stressed out. My mother was so considerate that she brought me to the seashore of An-ping to try to reduce my pressure. I stood on the seashore and enjoyed the fantastic scenery which gave me some relief. It's a good way to release my negative feeling. For another, I always introduce my friends to this place because of its famous snack-shrimp roll, sweet tofu, etc. Of course, the An-ping Castle is a famous spot because of its history value. Walking into the An-ping old street, you can experience the special cultural atmosphere, and find traditional toys, food, and handicrafts there. Also, when the Lantern Festival arrives, the Tainan City Government holds the festival in An-ping where provides us a large space and has a symbolic meaning of history. Thus, I take An-ping as the most special place in my life.

Hsin-Mei Lin's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: The most special place in my mind is my birthplace -- Zuoying in Kaohsiung.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: Zuoying is the place where is filled with cultural and historical atmosphere. There are many temples and old historical sites. For example, when you walk on the roads about a few steps, you can see a temple along the road. Maybe some people may think local habitants are too superstitious to build so many temples. However, I feel it is a kind of custom and it do good for people to have a place where could make their mind calm. Besides, for historical backgrounds there are the Old Confucius Temple and ancient city walls, which have been standing still there for over 300 years.; In addition, from 2001 the government started to take place the Wan-Nien Festival which displays folk religion and culture around beautiful Lotus Lake. I think it is a very good activity that can not only preserve but let everyone learn the local customs.; I sincerely welcome everyone to Zuoying.

Kagaroo's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: The most special place in my mind is Yangmingshan National Park in Taipei.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: My parents usually took me there on holidays when I was little. The flowers and trees in the shape of a clock in the entrance are impressive. I have pictures of my family and that beautiful scene. My family and I talked along the sidewalk chatting as well as appreciating the beauty of nature. I think Yangmingshan National Park is the most special place because as soon as I think of it the memory of our family trip would come up in my mind. I like the idea of family being together, engaging in the same activity, and helping each other in the process. These are the reasons that make my feel Yangmingshan National Park the most special place in life. Even though now I seldom have chances being with my family, Yangmingshan National Park still remains a treasure in my life with the reminiscence of my family members.

Lou's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: Maya's House. (The Campsite of Kenting National Park.)
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: The Maya's House is a campsite. It locates in the Kenting National Park. One of the reasons that I like the place is because a few people know about it. Furthermore, there are beautiful scenes, fresh air and it's a full-equipment campsite. Moreover, I had taken lots of friends to visit it, so I have a lot of special memories with my friends in that place.

Michelle's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: Where is my hometown? Kaohsiung is my hometown.And what is the most special in my mind? So Shan is the most special place in my mind. The Nation Sun-Uat-Sen University and Shi-Hzuwan are next to the So Shan. So Shan is a fantastic place. Many people like to go hiking in So Shan. Most of parents also like to take their children to So Shan, because there is a zoo in the So Shan. So Shan is also a wonderful place where people love to date with their lovers.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: I enjoy to go hiking with my mom on Saturday morning before. When we felt tired, we found a quiet place and sat down to take a break. We like to chat something fun at the break time. We usually had a wonderful breakfast time after we went hiking. That's a very precious time to me. I don't usually have too much time to get together with my mom. That's why I think that So Shan is the most special place in m life.

Lily's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: The most special place in my mind is my junior high school and the beach right behind it in my hometown, Hualien.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: My special place is my junior high school. It is located on a small hill. There are atriums with many plants, a big fenceless play ground, and the most important is that there is a beautiful beach right behind my school. When I studied there, during the free time or after classes, my friends and I would climb down the hill, and played at the beach till the dinner time. It was like we had a private beach at the backyard, and my friend and I always had a great time there! Now, although I study at Kaohsiung, when I go back home, I will go to my junior high school and take a look, see if there are any changes.

Janice's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: My special place in life is the seawall in his tzu bay.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: Five years age, after a terrible day, my friend who studied in NSYSU took me the seawall. First we saw the beautiful sunset and some people took there dogs to have a walk, the atmosphere is happy and clamor. After the sunset the night began, there only two of us still at there. We just had drinks and seated on the seawall for the whole night without speaking a word. We face to the sea and saw the ship slowly entered the harbor, saw the airplane flight though the sky and that night some shiny star was up on the sky. Wind was not strong and waves were not big, the sea level looked peace and clam, the atmosphere can clamed me down and made thoughts methodical and clear. The next day was whole new day without the frustration and depression. After that wonderful experience, every time I felt worse, I will go to my special place, this custom is still existed and will be continuing.

Kueimei's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: Everyone just likes a traveler of life. In the journey, we all have a special place, whichis life-enhancing and full of memories. As for me, I also have an unforgettable place, which is the office of KGHS Student Council.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: In my high school life, I was a member of student council of Kaohsiung Girl's High School. We had an office, and it's a small room. When I was a high school student, my partners and I always held a council in it every day. We discussed the school administration and many activities, just like United Camp, Christmas Party and so on. Even though sometimes we may have arguments about thought, I still love my partners very well, and I think we are the best team forever! After every activity, the tears always fell down from our faces, and we all touched by the success.; The room is full of my pleasant memories and affecting things. I think it is the best paradise in my high school. The special place has not only countless memories but also sincere friendship. Even though I have graduated from my high school, the room still often lingers in my mind.

Orange's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: I think it's my junior high school. There is the most special place in my mind.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: I have too many reasons in my junior high school. I joined a special club AJET, and I learned a lot of things there. In this club, the teacher taught us how to make English websites on the internet. We could learn English and computer. At the time, some Japanese students came to Taiwan. I took our Japanese classmates to the art museum with my classmates. That was a special experience. In my free time, I liked to go to my school and play basketball with my friends. When we were tired, we usually walked around in our school and talked to each other. It was really fun. We also had barbecues. They were not crowded. We could play games, speak loudly and play waterball in our school. That time I was so happy. Now, I usually could meet many old friends when I went to my school. My school gave a lot of memories to me. I love my junior high school so much.

Paggy's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: In my mind, the most special place is my grand mother's home where I spent my summer vacation there.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: My grandfather have been dead for so many years, so my grandmother lives alone. Even though my parents go back to accompany her almost every week, she still feels lonely. I started to live with her for a long time when I was in my third grade. That day, my grand mother asked me to live with her, and I accepted the advice. Actually, I didn't know how to communicate with an elder before. Though deciding to live with her, I still felt a little bit nervous. After living with her for eight days, I found it was the most special place in my mind. By getting along with her, I felt how lonely she was. Even though sometimes city life attracted me more, the country side where my grandma lived is the only place that can console my soul. In addition, she is a very kind-hearted woman that every one likes to get along with her. That I can say every where my grandma lives is the most special place for me.

SuSu's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: The most special place in my mind is my grandfather's studio.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: It was a place filled with exotic stuffs and fantastic works. My grandfather was a respectable artist for me. When I was just a child, I always sat in his studio and watched him painting, making artificial flowers and listening Japanese songs. He was a very creative artist, and I always marveled at his works. The walls in his studio were full of his souvenirs such as key chains, handkerchiefs, and pictures bought from Japan. My grandfather's studio was the place I loved most in my hildhood; it gave me lots of fun.

Tom's Special Places

#1: In your hometown, what is the most special place in your mind?: Where is my special place? The question kept circling in my head until I made my fathers old studio as my special place.
#2: What reasons make you feel it is the most special place in life?: Though there're too many choices in my memory for me to think about. However, my father's old studio really means a lot to me. It's a place where I spent my afternoon after school. The old studio walks with me through my childhood in elementary. The clapped-out studio only occupied about 15 square meters. Inside the room laid a desk, two chairs and a bunch of workmanships.; Expect me and my father, the space is seldom visited by guests. While I was studying, the fragrance of sandalwood-made works diffused into my nose and made me more concentrate. While I was beset by doubts, the movement of the shadow created by the setting sun caught my sight and calmed my perplexed temperature. The last time I went to my father's old studio I was a junior student. There was no big difference; the thing that only changed is the dust had quietly covered the desk and the workmanships. After that, I had never entered the studio. But in my mind, I will always remember the fragrance and the shadow in that special room.
